A student may apply in fall and spring semesters and must have FAFSA (or CSS for international applicants) on file with financial aid to be considered for the Smith Scholarship. Applications will be reviewed twice a year on October 1 and April 1.

Before applying for the Biology Department Cornelia Smith Scholarship, you need to apply to FAFSA/CSS. This ensures that Financial Aid has the information on file and can disperse the scholarship. If you have not applied to FAFSA/CSS, your scholarship application will not be considered.

Financial Request
All fields must contain information.

If a financial request is made for a category, please enter 0.00 in the related field.
If no financial request is made for a category, please enter 0.00 in the related field.

The maximum is $800 per student.

If you submit a request in excess of the $800, only $800 will be considered and remainder will be disallowed.

Travel - Maximum that can be requested is $500 (registration, travel, lodging, meals, etc.).

Books and Software - Maximum that can be requested is $200 and attach receipts.

Training and Professional Society - Maximum that can be requested is $300.
