International Student Academic Support

The International Student Academic Support (ISAS) office is available to help any international student with English language concerns. This new initiative is a partnership of the Center for Global Engagement, the Global Gateway Program, and Academic Support Programs. Specifically, the ISAS is designed to help international students:

  • increase understanding of assignments or lectures.
  • make a plan to improve English language skills needed for academic success.
  • connect with other services on campus (e.g. content tutoring, mentoring, counseling, etc.).

Faculty and staff are encouraged to refer international students that might need English language support through one of the following:

When can I meet with the International Student Academic Support specialist?

You can schedule an appointment on SSC or drop-in to talk with the International Student Academic Support specialist located in Sid Rich 009 (West Wing Basement).

Where do I go to find the International Student Academic Support specialist?

When entering from the parking lot, go left through the Career Center doors (by the stairs). Then go down the stairs towards the Academic Support Program (ASP) offices.
