Baylor University currently offers four areas of concentration for those seeking a B.S. in Biology.
This program is designed for students who desire a strong understanding of cellurlar function at the molecular level. It is designed to provide a solid foundation in cellular function and genetic control of biological processes to support exploration of disease etiology. It is appropriate for students who wish to attend graduate or professional schools.
This program is designed for students with an interest in tropical diseases, their etiology, and their control. It is appropriate for students considering careers in tropical medicine, epidemiology, parasitology, microbiology, global health, public health, or other biomedically-related careers.
This program is designed for students who desire a strong, diverse background in the biological sciences. It is designed to introduce students to the wholeness of biology through an integrative persepctive of the structure and function of biological systems with strong training in information analysis. It is appropriate for students who wish to attend graduate or professional school.
This program is designed for students interested in science education and certification to teach secondary science.
