Graduate Courses

The following is a list of biology (BIO) courses offered from Fall 2012 to 2017.  N is the number of times a course was offered during that time frame (on a semester-by-semester basis).  Courses with very large N values are mostly undergraduate core courses that are offered every semester or more.  Courses with N values around 5 are offered every year, typically, whereas 2-3 imply every-other-year.  Finally, a course offered 1 time may be offered only if sufficient students need the course for their training.

4000 level courses are senior-level undergraduate courses that may be taken for graduate credit but require additional work (course-specific). Up to 12 hours of 4000 level courses may count toward the M.S. or Ph.D. degree in Biology.

5000 level courses are for graduate students only.   5100 courses are seminars.  They take on a wide range of formats, from discussions centered on readings of current literature to lab or field skill focused 1-hour courses.  5300 courses are 3-credits and are offered when being considered for the permanent curriculum but are temporarily filed under this course number until a decision is made.   All other courses are on the books as permanent courses.

For course descriptions, please refer to the Baylor University Graduate Catalog.
