We hope you'll watch this video that we share with accepted students about the next steps. Below you'll also find a list of things you'll want to be aware of as the parent of an accepted student.
The enrollment deposit can be paid on your student's goBAYLOR account as soon as they've been notified of their acceptance. This deposit secures your student's place in the freshman class and allows them to move forward in signing up for housing. The deposit is fully refundable through May 1.
At Baylor, all freshmen are required to live on campus. We believe this experience is valuable for all incoming students as it allows them to meet new people, have easy access to campus life and activities, and improves the overall educational experience. For information about the wide variety of housing options available at Baylor visit baylor.edu/cll.
Approximately 90 percent of Baylor students receive financial aid of some sort. The following is a brief description of the two basic types of financial aid available:
Academic scholarships are awarded based on a combination of your student's SAT or ACT scores and their class rank (or their GPA if their school does not rank). If your student qualified for a academic scholarship it was included in the admissions decision letter they received. Academic scholarships can be upgraded throughout the school year and summer before your student enrolls should their test scores or rank improve. Visit our Scholarship Calculator to find out what academic scholarship your student is eligible for. On this website you'll also be able to see what test score your student would need to achieve to upgrade their scholarship.
In order to qualify for any need-based aid you must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) with your 2012 tax return information. The FAFSA is available starting January 1 and March 1 is the priority deadline for its completion. Completing the FAFSA not only qualifies your student to be considered for federal aid, but also qualifies your student to be considered for Baylor need-based scholarships.

Visit baylor.edu/visit to sign up for an upcoming campus visit. We have campus visit events periodically as well as personalized daily visits every weekday. Bringing your student to campus is going to be one of the best ways to help them decide whether or not Baylor is the place for them.
