Media Business

The Media Business major prepares students for careers in radio, television and film media management. Students earn a Bachelor of Business Administration through this major which is a collaboration between the Hankamer School of Business and the Film and Digital Media Division of the Communications Department. Available courses include:

  • Business of Media
  • Production Methods
  • Advertising Procedures
  • Consumer Behavior
  • Writing for Media Markets

The curriculum combines courses in production, writing, and direction for broadcast media with courses in marketing and the professional business core. Students complete the BBA core classes in addition to 18 hours of Film and Digital Media courses and 6 hours of marketing courses. Because students develop basic broadcasting and business skills, they are ideally prepared for advancement in communications management.

The Hankamer School of Business offers several summer and semester study abroad programs all over the world as well as student exchange programs.
