Prephysician Assistant

Physician assistants (PAs) practice medicine with supervision of licensed physicians. They work in virtually all health care settings wherever physicians or health care organizations employ them.

The Prephysician Assistant program is designed to prepare students for their education at a professional Physician Assistant school. PA schools do not require a specific major; therefore the program consists of a set of required prerequisites that can be combined with any major.

Alpha Epsilon Delta is a student-led organization for students interested in Pre-Health Care programs. AED offers opportunities for intellectual and professional development, provides a forum for students with common interests, and extends a program of service to benefit both the Waco and the Baylor communities.

Baylor University offers several Living-Learning Centers, which are housing opportunities designed to place students of common interests together in living and learning environments. Baylor offers a Science and Health Living-Learning Center where students with common interest in pursuing a career in medicine and the sciences will be able to collaborate with each other as well as science faculty and medical researchers.
