Prepharmacy

The Prepharmacy program is not a specific major, but combines a number of required prerequisites with the students' declared major, in order to prepare students for the application process and the rigorous studies of professional pharmaceutical schools. Students are able to select any major, however, their degree plan must include a number of specific prerequisites, including several chemistry and biology courses. All schools in Texas also require the Pharmacy College Admission Test (PCAT), as do most pharmacy schools across the country.

Alpha Epsilon Delta is a student-led organization for students interested in Pre-Health Care programs. AED offers opportunities for intellectual and professional development, provides a forum for students with common interests, and extends a program of service to benefit both the Waco and the Baylor communities.

Baylor University offers several Living-Learning Centers, which are housing opportunities designed to place students of common interests together in living and learning environments. Baylor offers a Science and Health Living-Learning Center where students with common interest in pursuing a career in medicine and the sciences will be able to collaborate with each other as well as science faculty and medical researchers.
