Applying as a Transfer

If you have any college credits beyond high school (excluding the summer immediately after high school graduation), Baylor will consider you for Transfer admission.

GoBAYLOR will guide you through the admissions process one step at a time — from submitting your application all the way through housing decisions, getting advised and registered for classes and more. Requirements for Transfer Admission

  • The median GPA range for accepted transfer students is 3.1-3.6 on a 4.0 scale. (Transfer Academic Scholarships are based on the cumulative transfer GPA.)
  • Must be eligible to return to any college or university attended
  • Plan to transfer no later than the end of your sophomore year (To receive a Baylor degree, at least 60 hours must be earned in residence at Baylor including the last 30.)

Key Documents

Regardless of which application form you use when applying, you must create a goBAYLOR account to track your application status. Additional steps might be required based on your individual circumstances. Check your goBAYLOR account for more details on these items. Key documents should be postmarked by the application deadline. The key documents required of all applicants are:

  • If you will have less than 24 credit hours, you must meet Freshman admissions standards, which means we will need:
    • Official final high school transcript
    • Official SAT and/or ACT scores sent to Baylor Admissions directly from the testing agency
    • Official transcripts from each college attended reporting all classes attempted for each semester enrolled
  • If you will have earned more than 24 credit hours, we will need:
    • Official final high school transcript
    • Official transcripts from each college attended reporting all classes attempted for each semester enrolled
If you wish to apply for a new term, please reapply for admission by submitting a new application for admission.

Please note: Baylor accepts electronic transcripts through Docufide and e-Script Safe. Electronic transcripts are processed in just 3-5 days. An official transcript includes the school's official seal or the signature of a school administrator and is either sent directly from the school or submitted in an envelope sealed by the school. Copies and faxes are not accepted.
