The Institute for Air Science was created in 1991 with the goal of advancing Baylor University's mission through research, public service and the education of a new generation of pilots. In the same year, the institute initiated the Bachelor of Science in Aviation Science (B.S.A.S.) degree, and graduated its first class in 1995.

The College of Arts & Sciences core curriculum is the foundation for a degree from Baylor University. For this reason, the College maintains a robust core curriculum across diverse academic disciplines such as the sciences, social sciences, humanities, and fine arts

As society becomes immersed in the Information Age, the computing discipline has become an integral aspect of our world today. Computer scientists are more than just programmers. They work to solve problems from all walks of life. One may be involved in science exploring the mysteries of the universe and another may be involved in medical research. A computer scientist may be solving problems with engineers in design and implementation projects while another makes extensive use of computers in music, art, or business information processing.

The Department of Environmental Science is dedicated to educating students in both the scientific and policy dimensions of environmental issues. Our goal is to provide a research and education environment where students learn to be stewards of the earth.

The Baylor Computer Science department offers a Bachelor of Science in Bioinformatics.

Joint with Colorado School of Mines, the National Science Foundation has funded the MoWaTER program, which contains two primary parts—a novel, introductory data science course and an undergraduate summer research program.

Department of Statistical Science is an interdisciplinary institute that offers the Ph.D. and M.A. degrees in statistics. The graduate programs are offered with the cooperation of the Departments of Mathematics, Information Systems, and Psychology. The Department created the undergraduate B.S. in Statistics in June 2005 and anticipates admitting its first majors in Fall 2006.

The Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry at Baylor University offers a unique combination of direct faculty-student training and mentoring, graduate student-operated instrumentation, and growth-focused education leading to impactful science. Our department operates in a close-knit and friendly community. We have research programs in the core areas of chemistry along with more interdisciplinary programs in chemical biology, bioinorganic chemistry, biomedical science and imaging, bioanalytical chemistry, and astrochemistry.

The Department of Human Sciences and Design was established at Baylor University in 1933 and offers six majors.

Phi Beta Kappa is the nation's oldest scholastic honor society and the first American society to have a Greek-letter name. The first chapter was founded on December 5, 1776, at the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia. The Baylor University chapter (Zeta of Texas) of Phi Beta Kappa was chartered in 1976 and is one of eleven chapters in the state.

The Piper Center for Family Studies and Child Development welcomes all children from ages two months to five years. The purpose of the Piper CDC is to serve as a laboratory for all the majors in the Department of Family and Consumer Sciences including Child and Family Studies, Fashion Design, Fashion Merchandising, General Family and Consumer Sciences with or without the option to teach, Interior Design and Nutrition.

Baylor’s Master of Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS) program is offered through an innovative hybrid format that combines online learning experiences, intensive on-site lab immersions, research curriculum, and Simulated Clinical Practice Experiences (SCPEs). The curriculum prepares students to provide patient-centered care and collegially work on collaborative medical teams in an interprofessional environment, establishing a strong foundation in health information technology and evidence-based medicine and emphasizing the importance of remaining current with the changing nature of clinical practice.

Welcome to the U.S. Military-Baylor Master's Program in Nutrition and the U.S. Military Dietetic Internship Consortium homepage. These programs work in tandem to train future military dietitians for service in the United States Army and United States Air Force. These programs are separately accredited but jointly administered over a two year period that results in a Master of Science in Nutrition and the ability to sit for the Registration Examination for Dietitians for qualified graduates. Students do not pay any tuition or relocation fees for these programs and earn a full salary with benefits.
