To minor in News-Editorial, students must complete 18 hours of study within in the Journalism department. Often students are introduced to News-Editorial through their required Journalism courses and then decide to minor in News-Editorial to further their study of the field.
Most degree programs at Baylor do not require a student to select a minor area of study. Students may choose to minor in a field that supplements their major. Or, they may choose to pursue an area of interest completely outside their major. For example, an Marketing major may choose to minor in News-Editorial to supplement their major.
Courses a student might take include Editing, Magazine and Feature Writing, or Reporting and Writing for Media
