A Photojournalism minor requires students to complete 18 hours of study including 15 hours of upper-level courses. The minor introduces students to the field of photography within the context of the journalism field. Students learn the basic foundations of the field of journalism while emphasizing news telling through photos.

Most degree programs at Baylor do not require a student to select a minor area of study.  Students may choose to minor in a field that supplements their major.  Or, they may choose to pursue an area of academic interest completely outside their major. For example, an Art student with an interest in the news may choose to minor in photojournalism.

Courses a student might take include Media Photography, History of Photography, or Editing.
