The minor in Leadership Studies is a partnership between the School of Education and the Academy for Leader Development. Students must complete 18 hours of study. This includes 9 hours of upper-level courses. This minor helps students prepare for leadership in their chosen vocation while engaging in the theoretical and practical knowledge of the field.
Most degree programs at Baylor do not require a student to select a minor area of study. Students may choose to minor in a field that supplements their major. Or, they may choose to pursue an area of academic interest completely outside their major. For example, a political science major with a desire to work in government may choose to minor in leadership studies.
Courses a student might take include Leadership for Social Action, Principled Leadership or Organizational Leadership.
