Education Concentration for Health Science Studies Majors
The Education Concentration for Health Science Studies Majors is a minor that leads to a secondary grade level certification (grades 7-12). This minor requires students to complete 38 hours of study including 30 hours of upper-level courses. This program is for students who want to teach Health Science at the Secondary Level, but want to major in Health Science Studies instead of Secondary Education.
Most degree programs at Baylor do not require a student to select a minor area of study, but students may choose to minor in a field that supplements their major or may choose to pursue an area of academic interest completely outside their major.
Required courses for this minor include Teaching in the Secondary School, Secondary Science Practicum and a Teaching Internship, among others.
