Corporate Communication

To minor in Corporate Communication, students are required to complete 18 hours of study, including 12 hours of upper-level courses from the Department of Communication. This minor prepares students for a broad range of communication-related positions in for-profit, nonprofit and health-related organizations. Students from a wide range of majors who are planning to pursue careers in the corporate world can benefit from this minor.

Most degree programs at Baylor do not require a student to select a minor area of study, but students may choose to minor in a field that supplements their major or may choose to pursue an area of academic interest completely outside their major. For example, a Professional Selling student in the business school may choose to minor in Corporate Communication in order to take more communication-specific courses to complement their business degree.

Courses a student might take include Organizational Communication, Corporate Advocacy and Public Policy, Health Communication or Nonprofit Organizational Communication.
