Corporate Communication

To minor in Corporate Communication, students are required to complete 18 hours of study including 9 hours of upper-level courses. This minor combines courses in Speech as well as Film and Digital Media to prepare students for a broad range of communication-related positions in corporate, government, educational and medical organizations. Students from a wide range of majors who are planning to pursue careers in the corporate world can benefit from this minor.

Most degree programs at Baylor do not require a student to select a minor area of study, but students may choose to minor in a field that supplements their major or may choose to pursue an area of academic interest completely outside their major. For example, a Professional Selling student in the business school may choose to minor in Corporate Communication in order to take more communication-specific courses to complement their business degree.

Courses a student might take include Organizational Communication, Conflict and Communication, or Corporate Advocacy and Public Policy.
