Environmental Science

The Environmental Science major combines laboratory work, field work and classroom study. This program is for students interested in a variety of fields including forestry, wildlife management, water resources and environmental chemistry. The coursework includes basic science as well as upper-level math. Available courses include:

  • Cultural Ecology
  • Urbanization and Development
  • Watershed Assessment
  • Environmental Engineering
  • Exploring Environmental Issues
Graduates can expect to find job opportunities as lab researchers, consultants, environmental engineers or analysts, among other professions. Other students continue their education and research by going to graduate or medical school.
