The German major enables students to become fluent in written and spoken German. German is spoken throughout all Europe.  This makes it a useful asset to any student wishing to work in international affairs. The major is also ideal for students wishing to become teachers or attend graduate school. Available courses include:

  • German Drama
  • German Literature of the Twentieth Century
  • German Film
  • Introduction to German Culture
  • German Reading Development

Study Abroad is recommended for all foreign language and international majors. The German program offers several study abroad opportunities.  These include summer, semester and exchange programs.

Baylor also offers several Living-Learning Centers, which are housing opportunities designed to place students of common interests together.  The Baylor and Beyond Living-Learning Center is a residential option available for all majors and classifications, but it is ideal for students interested in language, culture, and engaging the world around them.
