The Albritton Art Institute focuses on 19th and 20th century European and American artists. Each semester, the institute provides fully funded field studies that allow students to observe and analyze artwork firsthand. Past destinations include New York City, Chicago, Vienna, and Venice.
The Martin Museum of Art is housed inside the art building. Besides its permanent collection, the Martin hosts gallery talks and annual student and faculty exhibits. The Martin also showcases guest artists.
Many Art History graduates continue their studies in graduate school. Others have gained employment in museums, art galleries, auction houses or arts organizations.
Students can live at the Fine Arts Living-Learning Center in North Village. Living-Learning Centers are residence halls where students with common academic or extracurricular interests live together.
