Public Health is a nationally accredited degree program. The program prepares students to promote healthy lifestyles and enhance quality of life for individuals and communities. Health educators work in a variety of work settings including nonprofit community health organizations and public health agencies. Other settings include work site and health promotion programs and schools and voluntary health agencies (American Cancer Society, American Heart Association, etc). Available courses include:
To date, 100% of Baylor Public Health graduates who have taken the national certification exam have become a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES).
A unique study abroad experience is available for health-related degrees every summer. Baylor in Brazil is a 30 day program in which a group of students travel to several places, and students have the chance to work with local programs to promote health while taking classes.
