Public Health

Public Health is a nationally accredited degree program. The program prepares students to promote healthy lifestyles and enhance quality of life for individuals and communities. Public Health educators work in a variety of work settings including nonprofit community health organizations and public health agencies. Other settings include work site and health promotion programs and schools and voluntary health agencies (American Cancer Society, American Heart Association, etc).  Available courses include:

  • Introduction to Public and Population Health
  • Global Health
  • Epidemiology
  • Planning in Public and Community Health

To date, 100% of Baylor Public Health graduates who have taken the national certification exam have become a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES).
