Pre-Occupational Therapy

Occupational Therapy is the practice of rehabilitating clients.  Rehab can be necessary after a surgery, traumatic event, illness or medical disorder, and it is done in both a mental and physical capacity.

Baylor offers a Pre-Occupational Therapy program for students desiring to receive a master's degree in Occupational Therapy. Pre-OT undergraduates must combine Occupational Therapy prerequisite courses with their declared major but are not required to have a specific degree.

The pre-OT program offers several services in order to prepare students for the often rigorous journey in becoming an occupational therapist, including advising, the opportunity to attend professional workshops, research opportunities and student organizations.

Alpha Epsilon Delta is a student-led organization for students interested in Pre-Health Care programs. AED offers opportunities for intellectual and professional development.  It provides a forum for students with common interests.  It also extends a program of service to benefit both the Waco and the Baylor communities.

Baylor offers several Living-Learning Centers which are housing opportunities designed to place students of common interests together.  The Science & Health Living-Learning Center is a residential option that's available for pre-health students.  Students are able to collaborate with each other, science faculty and medical researchers.
