Invitation to Excellence

Designed for National Merit Semifinalists and other high-achieving students, Invitation to Excellence is a special weekend program that showcases the exciting academic opportunities Baylor has to offer. As the name implies, participation is by invitation only.

Invitation to Excellence participants receive a $2,000 scholarship toward Baylor tuition in the fall semester following high school graduation.* They are also eligible to apply for a limited number of full-tuition Faculty Scholarships, only available to students entering as freshmen in the following fall who participate in one of the academic groups. Those who are awarded Faculty Scholarships and are later named National Merit Finalists will be awarded room, board and general student fees as Faculty Scholars. Baylor also awards full-tuition Regent Scholarships to National Merit Finalists who list Baylor as their top college choice.

How do I sign up?

If you think you may qualify, be sure to join Baylor's mailing list and send your test scores to Baylor. Special invitations will be sent to those on our mailing list who have been identified as high-achieving students.

Please note: Invitation to Excellence is for graduating seniors only. A student can only attend the event once.

*Student athletes may not be eligible to accept the Invitation to Excellence award. Confer with your coach or Athletic Compliance regarding your eligibility if you are a prospective student athlete.
