The Baylor Athletic Department will host its annual "Meet the Bears" football fan appreciation event on Saturday, Aug. 6. For the first time, the 2016 event will be held at McLane Stadium.

Natalie Wilkins, B.B.A (marketing) ’01, was hired as chief of staff at Cook Children’s Health Care System, where she will be responsible for internal and external communications on behalf of the executive office. Wilkins previously worked at North Texas Specialty Physicians and began her new job on July 25.

According to a McLennan County commissioners’ court report, McLennan County’s economy is booming. Property values have steadily risen for the past 10 years, and the county will decrease taxes by one cent in the coming fiscal year. The county commissioner for precinct 4 attributed some of the economic success to Baylor University and Fixer Upper’s Chip and Joanna Gaines.

State Bar of Texas: Local bar associations honored for pro bono work at Bar Leaders Conference
