Outside her work life, Kathryn Osteen contributes time and effort to her community. She is involved with her local church as well as with the local Boy Scouts of America organization. She also volunteers on many University Committees such as the Faculty Affairs Committee and the Clinical Track Review and Promotion Committee. Kathryn Osteen is also a member of many national and local nursing organizations.
Her previous publications include: “The Relationship Between Self-Care Attitudes, Hierarchy of Values, and Intent to Complete Advance Directives." She has also given presentations titled “Relief, A Concept Analysis" and “Embedding High Fidelity Patient Simulation Across the Nursing Curriculum."
