Why choose Baylor University Louise Herrington School of Nursing?

Nursing education programs are undergoing a dramatic increase in applications due to several factors, such as the predicted nursing shortage, a more realistic portrayal of nursing in the media, and the recognition of the value of a college education. There are many excellent schools, colleges and universities that offer nursing education programs. The choice of the nursing program is important because it will have a life-long impact not only on one's nursing education and career, but on one's life.

Baylor University is the oldest Baptist university in the world. The Louise Herrington School of Nursing undergraduate and graduate programs have an outstanding reputation based on excellent faculty, curriculum and students. Baylor nurses are leaders at hospitals, universities, and other health care agencies. As a faith-based university, the nursing education you will receive at Baylor University is based upon the philosophy that nursing is a profession and a ministry.

The faculty and administration are deeply committed to the success of students, academically and personally.
