POSITION: Lecturer in Choral Music
QUALIFICATIONS: Qualifications include a master's degree and evidence of success as a choral conductor. A doctorate is preferred, as is previous university teaching experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES:This person will be responsible for conducting Baylor University choral ensembles, as assigned. These may include Chamber Singers, Women's Choir, or VirtuOSO (outreach ensemble specializing in pop music). Other duties, based on applicant's interest and experience, may include teaching beginning conducting, choral literature, or "Introduction to Music" (music appreciation for non-majors).
RANK AND SALARY: Appointment is at the Lecturer rank, a continuing annual appointment based on merit, with possible promotion to Senior Lecturer in six years. Salary is commensurate with experience.
