Ignite is Here!
June 1 marked the official beginning of the “Igniting” of Baylor’s administrative operations technology. This landmark project began in August of 2018 and required the dedication of hundreds of Baylor staff and faculty to the transformation of Baylor business. Many hours of planning, process redesign, configuration, testing, data conversion, meetings, executive reviews, communications, and training went into this transformation. Shopping in the Ignite Marketplace
A major enhancement Ignite has provided is the ability to shop in the new marketplace. The Procurement Services Office within Business Services worked diligently during Ignite implementation to ensure the campus had a comprehensive set of marketplace suppliers in an array of categories available at go-live. Keeping Ignite Moving Foward, Quarter by Quarter
As we all get familiar with Ignite, one question might be - when will it change and get even better? Certainly, even though Ignite is live, it is not done. A benefit of the new cloud-based systems like Oracle Cloud on which Ignite is based, is continuous enhancement and issue-correction through regular updates. Goodbye to Ignite Headquarters
When Project Ignite moved into our headquarters in Moody Memorial Library in June of 2019, we expected to anxiously babysit the Ignite Go-Live a year later from that space. As it turns out, COVID-19 had other plans for the last weeks before Go-Live. However, the great collaborative space in Moody certainly contributed to the success of the project by hosting meetings, testing sessions, training classes, ad hoc discussions, and coffee conversations for the Baylor and Huron Ignite teams.
