Family Medical Leave Act
The Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) entitles eligible employees of Baylor University to take unpaid, job-protected leave for specified family and medical reasons with continuation of group health insurance coverage under the same terms and conditions as if the employee had not taken leave.

Baylor is supportive and fully compliant with FMLA. Employees are encouraged to partner with Human Resources in order to understand the provisions of the policy and further explore this benefit. If an employee qualifies for FMLA, it will be important for the employee to coordinate with their department in order to cover their job duties in their absence.
