WACO, Texas (May 29, 2012) - Recent Baylor University graduate Elizabeth A. Dratz of Wheat Ridge, Colo., has been selected to receive the prestigious Fulbright Scholarship - the flagship international educational exchange program sponsored by the U.S. government. Dratz's selection -the sixth in 2012 for Baylor - brings the number of Baylor students and/or graduates who have received the honor since 2001 to 32.

WACO, Texas (May 24, 2012) - The works of artists who are described as "Fathers" of their media, "most important artist" in their country during their lifetime, as well as contemporary artists whose work is in important national and international collections such as the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the British Museum in London is on display at Baylor University's on-campus art museum, Martin Museum of Art.

WACO, Texas (May 17, 2012) - Baylor University announced today that the university has received a major gift from Sheila and Walter Umphrey, BBA '59, JD '65, of Beaumont, for Baylor Stadium, the university's new on-campus football stadium. This generous gift - which ranks among the top 10 capital gifts in university history and top five gifts in Baylor Athletics' history - will support construction of the Sheila and Walter Umphrey Bridge at Baylor Stadium that will be built over the Brazos River, connecting the new stadium with Baylor Law School and the Baylor campus.

WACO, Texas (May 11, 2012) - After nearly two years of planning that included the active participation of faculty, students, staff, alumni and a community of friends throughout the nation, Baylor University Regents today unanimously approved a new strategic vision named Pro Futuris that will guide the University's path over the next decade. The vision will go into effect on June 1, 2012.

WACO, Texas (May 9, 2012) - Baylor University announced today that the university has received a major gift from John Eddie Williams Jr., BBA '76, JD '78, of Houston for Baylor Stadium. This generous gift, which ranks among the top five capital gifts in university history, will support construction of the university's new on-campus football stadium - Baylor Stadium - to be built alongside the Brazos River. With this naming rights gift, the field at Baylor Stadium will be named John Eddie Williams Field.

WACO, Texas (May 7, 2012) - Bill Clifton, chairman of the Cooper Foundation, today announced an award of $250,000 to Baylor University to construct a microgravity research facility within the Baylor Research and Innovation Collaborative (BRIC). The BRIC is the cornerstone building of the research and discovery park under construction by Baylor University and its community stakeholders Texas State Technical College in Waco (TSTC), McLennan County, and the cities of Bellmead and Waco.
