Financial Planning Association Honors Baylor Professor for Commitment to the ProfessionSept. 13, 2010

Baylor professor Dr. Tom Potts will be recognized at the 9th Annual Honors Award Dinner during the National Financial Planning Week by the Financial Planning Association of Dallas and Fort Worth (FPA DFW). The dinner celebrates the financial planning profession and recognized the most influential people affiliated with the FPA DFW.
Potts is the professor of finance and the director of the financial services and planning program and has served on the Baylor faculty for the past 35 years. He is also the national president of FPA for 2010.
"As a member of the DFW FPA chapter, I am very pleased and honored to receive this award from my fellow chapter members and one of the top chapters in the nation," Potts said.
The Honors award recognizes planners who have a lifelong commitment to the financial planning profession and to the FPA DFW.
The event will be held on October 5 at 6:15 PM at restaurant, Five Sixty by Wolfgang Puck in the Reunion Tower, Dallas.
According to the chapter's website, nominations are open to the membership and voted on by the board of directors, the PR committee and past honorees.
