By Kate Gronewald
The John F. Baugh Center for Entrepreneurship is awarding entrepreneurship scholarships for the 2008-2009 school year. Applicants must be Hankamer School of Business students pursuing a degree in entrepreneurship.
Dr. Kendall Artz, director of the Baylor Entrepreneurship Program director and chairman of the Department of Management & Entrepreneurship, strongly encourages entrepreneurship students to apply for one of the scholarships.
"Many of our previous entrepreneurship students have benefited from the financial support these scholarships provide," Artz said. "They have been important in helping many of our students realize their dream of graduating with a major in entrepreneurship."
Interested students must fill out an online application and submit transcript information by March 15, 2008. Recipients will be announced in late April.
The scholarships are provided by various memorial and scholarship funds. Recipients will be selected based on both merit and need-based qualifications. However, since need is the primary consideration, all applicants must file an online FAFSA form.
