Nonprofit Technology Collaboration

Nonprofit Technology Collaboration

The Nonprofit Technology Collaboration is dedicated to the advancement of nonprofits in the Waco community. Waco Foundation has partnered with the Baylor MIS department to:

  • Develop an in-depth understanding of nonprofit technology needs
  • Provide support for needs
  • Create tools to help nonprofits better understand and use the technology they already have

The goal of the Nonprofit Technology Collaboration is to empower nonprofits to improve the way they conduct business and meet the objectives of their mission through the use of technology.

How We Support Non-Profits

The collaboration is supporting nonprofits in several ways:

  • The production of a Technology Basics Manual to guide technology users in a wide range of technology topics
  • A Technology Assessment Survey to better understand the Waco nonprofit technology landscape, and identify potential opportunities to support nonprofits in areas of need
  • A student internship program that assigns students to specific nonprofit-related projects for one or two semesters
  • A technology consultant who provides technology advice and serves as a bridge between Waco Foundation, the MIS department, and local nonprofits
