During my senior year of college, BEST, an honors strategic management class, took a one week trip to Prague to meet with business leaders and tour the city. Our group of 28 students quickly bonded, and almost four years later, I still get together with members of the class to reminisce about the trip.

After spending a semester in London as an exchange student and visiting Prague on this BEST trip, I caught the "travel bug". I have worked as a management consultant in Europe, Latin America and now, Mongolia since graduating from Baylor in 2006.

I'll always cherish the tremendous instruction I received while at Hankamer and one aspect that stands out is I just can't overlook the many hours I spent in the computer lab working on various projects.

One source of consistent comic relief for me was the famous fun stuff "J drive" folder provided by Dr. Tim Kayworth. I would get almost to the end of a tough assignment and being on the verge of falling asleep before the lab closed, and it always gave me a second wind when I would pull up the comical powerpoint of the before and after effects of mad cow disease or the dancing baby to oldies music! Those were the dot com days of course and I'm proud to recall that Professor Kayworth's sense of humor on the J drive was always a fond memory for me while studying at Hankamer.

Some of my fondest memories of Hankamer School of Business came from our Baylor In The British Isles trip prior to my sophomore year. I took Economics II with Dr. James Henderson. Economics was not my most favorite subject but being in London at the time made it come alive! And, we had tea and scones every morning at 10am after class. I really enjoyed learning from and touring with all of the BU faculty involved, especially those from the business school that included Dr. Terry Maness. Getting to know them and their families that came along for the adventure was part of the fun!

Having returned to London twice since graduating, I will never forget how Baylor and Hankamer (abroad) truly gave me such a rich and rewarding education on the other side of the pond! The entire experience was priceless! I'll never forget it! Thank you!
