Baylor Business has named Kirk Hansen Assistant Director for the Executive MBA program in Austin-Waco. Hansen has been Coordinator of Business Affairs for Baylor's Alumni Association for the past two years. His entrepreneurial background includes more than 20 years of experience in operating the family farming business in Central Texas.
"When I turned 40, I decided to do something different," Hansen explained. "The farm/ranch was 5000 acres and I wanted to do more with my life."
Hansen first experienced the Executive MBA program as a student in the Fall 2004 entering class. He will complete the second year of the program while serving as Assistant Director.
"As with the all EMBA students, I can apply what we learn in the classroom immediately to the operations of the program whether its finance, marketing, or strategy," Hansen said. "I am excited to be a part of such a dynamic program."
Hansen is very involved in church activities, serving as teacher, treasurer, deacon, choir member, and head cook for several church sponsored events. "My family enjoys volunteering and giving back some of what we received," he said. Hansen has been married for 15 years to Stephanie. They have a 12-year-old son named Tyler.
