BBA/MTax Degree Plan
The joint Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA)/Master of Taxation (MTax) is designed to provide eligible students an efficient program of study to achieve technical, communication, leadership and analytical skills for a successful career in business and the hours required to sit for the CPA exam.
Students are not required to apply to the undergraduate Accounting program, but are eligible to enroll in the first accounting course (ACC 3401) only if they have a C+ average in ACC 2303 and ACC 2304 (or their transfer equivalents) without a D in either course.
Admission to the MTax program is made through the Baylor Business Graduate School. Students should apply to the MTax program in the second semester in which they are enrolled in their undergraduate accounting major courses. Admission is not guaranteed, but is based on overall GPA, accounting core GPA and GMAT score. Students with GPAs above 3.0 overall and in accounting and an acceptable GMAT score will be considered for admission.

ACC4308 - Advanced Managerial Accouting
ACC4350 - Business & Professional Ethics for Accountants
MTax Program Requirements
The MTax degree is a 33-hour program, requiring 18 hours of graduate tax coursework and 15 hours of supporting graduate business (non-accounting) coursework. You can use the 15 hours of graduate business courses to concentrate your study in a second area of expertise or to broaden your graduate business education.
