A degree in Accounting prepares you for a variety of careers. Many people choose to enter public accounting as either an auditor or tax consultant. These positions are available in firms of all sizes—from large multinational firms to small local firms.
Others choose to enter industry and work as general accountants, controllers, treasurers, tax managers or internal auditors. Governmental agencies employ a number of accountants at the local, state and federal levels. More than 30 employers currently recruit Baylor Accounting majors.

The Lariat: Each year, Baylor seniors have the opportunity to honor a professor of their choice through the Collins Outstanding Professor Award. This year, the award went to clinical assistant professor Lotte Bostick.

Neubert, Senior Associate Dean for Research and Faculty Development and The Hazel and Harry Chavanne Chair of Christian Ethics in Business.
Baylor University’s 2024 senior class has selected Lotte Bostick, J.D., CPA, assistant clinical professor in the Department of Accounting and Business Law at Baylor University’s Hankamer School of Business, as the 2024 Collins Outstanding Professor.
