The number of Texas mayors endorsing Baylor's proposal for the George W. Bush Presidential Library has grown to 400. Representing communities in 127 counties, the mayors noted that more than 80 percent of the state's population lives within a 200-mile radius of the Baylor campus.

Dr. Jacquelin Neatherlin, a professor at Baylor's Louise Herrington School of Nursing in Dallas, traveled to the Philippines from March 27 until April 3 to interview between 20 and 30 scholarship candidates who wish to pursue a graduate degree beginning in fall 2004.
