Academic advising is a partnership of student and advisor with each one fulfilling a role to ensure a successful outcome. Experience and research show that informed students make a smoother transition into college and continue with timely progress toward their academic goals. Baylor's professional and faculty advisors, most with advanced degrees, receive extensive training to remain knowledgeable about the full scope of academic resources available to students. They are also caring individuals who guide students to make their own decisions responsibly.
