Credit by Exam (AP, CLEP, IB, etc)
Current and prospective Baylor students may receive credit for select Baylor courses through the Credit by Examination program. Links to policies and procedures and to the various testing options (AP, CLEP, IB, etc.) are located in the sidebar on the left of your screen. You must have an official score report sent to Baylor for evaluation of credit.
For transfer students: credit by exam that you received at a previous institution does not automatically transfer to Baylor. You must have an official score report sent to Baylor for evaluation of credit.

A-Levels

AP Tests
The Advanced Placement (AP) examinations are offered once a year in May by participating high schools that offer college-level courses based on AP course descriptions. Check with your high school for registration deadlines and fees.
CLEP Exams
The CLEP Subject Examinations measure achievement in specific subject areas. These exams require college-level knowledge and critical thinking ability; sufficient preparation is required to do well.
Departmental Exams
If a student has experience equivalent to the content of a course described in the current catalog, upon approval of the department, credit may be earned for the course by passing an examination equivalent to a final course examination.
Foreign Languages
Students who are proficient in French, German, or Spanish should take a CLEP exam. This page contains information for students who are proficient in other languages.
I.B. Exams
The International Baccalaureate (IB) curricula and corresponding examinations are offered by participating secondary schools in the United States and abroad.
SAT Subject Tests
The College Board SAT Subject Tests are one-hour tests in specific subjects.
