Advising Handbook

Welcome to the Baylor University Advising Handbook. This document has been distributed in hard copy at the annual Orientation Workshop for many years. The compilation of policies and procedures from all undergraduate academic units and programs has been a major tool used for advisor training throughout the university.

Navigation should be user-friendly with bookmarks and thumbnails taking the user directly to the page(s) of interest or need. Unlike the hard copy version, the online handbook will be updated as frequently as possible and updates will be identified on the side bar. In this initial version, pages have been dated to allow future tracking to catalog year requirements.

Credits: Special recognition goes to Judy McClain in University Advisement for editing and Susan Evans in Electronic Communications/Marketing and Communications for web design. Thanks go to the staff in University Advisement who complied and edited assigned sections and too many to name in the advising community who submitted information and updates for each section of the handbook.

We hope this version of the advising handbook will be a helpful resource to the advising community at Baylor. We welcome your comments and suggestions.
