The images below document the dynamic community of Teal Residential College during the academic year. Sneak a peek into the life of Teal!
Every year Teal residents get dressed up and enjoy a night of dancing and fellowship. Hosted at a local venue in Waco, this event is always a great time!
As one of the most anticipated events of the year, cardboard regatta features two-person boats, built only from cardboard and duct tape, racing across the Brazos river at Baylor’s marina. Awards are given to the overall winner (or fastest team), best theme, most spirited, and the Titanic award (for best sinking).
Freshman Fall Retreat
As a way to bond new members of the Teal community, first-year residents participate in an off-campus fall retreat each year. Residents get to meet upper-division student leaders, learn about Teal history and traditions, and simply have fun together building a deeper sense of community among peers.
Tri-College Tournament is an annual competition between Baylor’s three residential colleges. The tournament usually features volleyball, soccer, and ultimate frisbee in addition to an egg toss and tug-of-war. Our community has taken the trophy for many years!
Community Dinners are a tradition for residential colleges. Twice each month on a Sunday evening, Teal residents, faculty, and staff come together for dinner in East Village Dining Commons.
Once per semester our residents bring their talents to the stage. Coffee House is a showcase of the arts and includes musical acts with instruments and/or voices, poetry readings, and even some unique talents, such as snapping!
