It is with great disappointment that I share this email. We have just received a letter from the Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities announcing that after 80 years of honoring outstanding students across the country, they will not be taking nominations for 2018. They will be “conducting a strategic review of the organization” and will be closing their administrative offices effective September 8, 2017, until further notice.
We have been asked to halt our nomination process for this year. Baylor has participated in this program for over 50 years now. Please know that you are greatly appreciated for your efforts in identifying outstanding Baylor students these past years. Keep in mind that there are other venues for recognizing our excellent students, including academic and Student Life recognition events and honors. We may reach out to you again in the spring to help us identify those very students.
