M.A. Sociology, The New School of Social Research, 2017
B.A. Sociology, Mount Saint Mary's University, 2015
Michael is a first-year graduate student at Baylor University. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Sociology from Mount St. Mary’s University, in Maryland. He taught at a special needs school in New York while earning a Master’s Degree in Sociology from the New School for Social Research. Prior to joining us at Baylor, he taught for two years in a rural community in Shandong, China, while also publishing his views on the Catholic Church in China in America Magazine, a Jesuit publication.
Michael’s interests focus on the intersections of religious life, political life, and community. He chose to attend Baylor in part because of the great variety in research interests within the Sociology of Religion track.
Upon completion, Michael hopes to join a liberal arts institution where he can teach and learn from the next generation of inquisitive minds.
