You may complete the 2017-2018 FAFSA beginning October 1, 2016 (we recommend prior to February 1) to receive priority consideration for financial aid. FAFSAs received after this date will be considered for aid based on the availability of funds. The 2017-2018 FAFSA must be completed to receive consideration for financial aid for the academic year fall term 2017, spring term 2018 and summer term 2018.
Use the IRS Data Retrieval Tool (DRT) to access your 2015 income tax return(s) to ensure the aid that may be offered to you is valid. If you do not use the DRT, your 2017-2018 federal aid may be adjusted or you may lose your federal aid. If your aid is adjusted, you may be required to repay any or all of the federal aid you received.
If you are ineligible to use the DRT, you may be asked to provide our office with a copy of your 2015 IRS tax return transcript.
Currently enrolled students will start receiving their financial aid offers in early March.
Please note: prospective students who are selected for verification will receive estimated financial aid awards. You will receive a revised award notification if the estimated awards change as a result of the verification process. Awards will not apply toward your semester charges until the verification process is complete.
