New Baylor President Linda Livingstone talks about the challenges she will face and the importance of openness, training and restorative remedies as the university makes positive changes.

WACO, Texas (April 18, 2017) – Baylor University has selected Linda A. Livingstone, Ph.D., current dean and professor of management at The George Washington University School of Business, as the institution’s 15th president. Dr. Livingstone was the unanimous choice of the Baylor Board of Regents, following the recommendation of the 12-member Presidential Search Committee.

Waco, Texas (February 22, 2017) – In a report to the Baylor Board of Regents on Feb. 17, Presidential Search Committee Chair Bob Brewton, BBA ’74, of Houston, shared progress by the 12-member committee toward the recommendation of the University’s 15th president. The Committee hopes to complete its work and join the University in announcing a new president by the end of the spring semester.

WACO, Texas (Oct. 21, 2016) – Baylor University’s Presidential Search Committee has completed more than 80 hours of listening sessions – both on and off campus – with various groups of faculty, staff, students, alumni, friends and University administrators, who have provided their valuable input regarding the professional and personal characteristics and experiences important to the University’s next president.

During the month of October, the Presidential Search Committee will host listening sessions around the state during which you will be invited to share your thoughts regarding the qualities and experiences, both personally and professionally, Baylor’s next president should possess.
