8th Annual Going for the Gold Gala

February 25, 2019
Sean Lee and Megan
Located in the heart of Dallas, The Baylor University Louise Herrington School of Nursing (LHSON) will host its eighth annual Going for the Gold Gala on Saturday, March 2, 2019, 6:00 p.m. at The Ford Center at The Star in Frisco located at 9 Cowboys Way, Frisco, Texas. In the last seven years this spectacular event has become a source of support for the most critical needs of the school and its students who exemplify our school motto to Learn.Lead.Serve. We are excited that our featured speakers will be Dallas Cowboy Linebacker #50 Sean Lee and wife Megan Lee.

You may recognize Sean Lee as the impressive #50 on the Dallas Cowboys defense. He has proven himself to be quite the player over the last nine NFL seasons, persevering through several injuries and leading the defense in tackles. Off the field, Sean and his wife Megan follow the leadership of many Cowboys by giving back to the community and helping others, most notably when they used their 2014 wedding registry to help a friend's daughter who was diagnosed with Tuberous Sclerosis Complex and could not afford her treatment. This led to their continued community participation to help children with special medical needs.

Support from sponsors and underwriters remains crucial every year. This year, Gala proceeds will continue to focus on our highest priority: the new building for the Louise Herrington School of Nursing. We remain dedicated to providing a competitively robust and revered Baylor education.
