Located in the heart of Dallas, The Baylor University Louise Herrington School of Nursing (LHSON) will host its sixth annual Going for the Gold Gala on Saturday, February 25, 2017, 6:00 p.m. at the Fairmont Dallas Hotel located at 1717 North Akard Street in Dallas. In the last five years the spectacular event has become a source of support for the most critical needs of the School and its students. We hope you will mark your calendars now to join us to support our dedicated Baylor nursing students who exemplify our school motto to Learn.Lead.Serve.™
The 2017 Gala will recognize and honor those who serve our communities – both the nurses who care for our sick and wounded and our selfless public servants in the police and firefighting communities. Providing a dynamic perspective will be our keynote speaker, Derek Haas. Along with being a Baylor graduate, Derek is also the creator and executive producer of NBC’s hit television series Chicago Fire, Chicago P.D. and Chicago Med.
Individual ticket and table sales as well as the live and silent auction proceeds underwrite the cost of the gala. Tickets to the gala are $200 per seat for individuals and $2,500 to reserve a table for 10 guests. For more information, visit www.baylor.edu/nursing/gala and click on Going for the Gold Gala, or call (214) 808-9802 or email email@example.com.
The LHSON relies on the support from sponsors and underwriters every year. Gala proceeds will allow LHSON to address the space needs of the future through the renovation of our new building. Dedicated to providing a competitively robust and revered Baylor education, LHSON is striving to transition from an overcrowded and outdated 38,000-square-foot facility into a contemporary 100,000-square-foot new building.
