Work and Education
Dr. Emily Fondren is a Clinical Assistant Professor at Baylor University Louise Herrington School of Nursing.  She teaches Population Health and Health Assessment for the Distance Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing (DABSN).

Dr. Fondren’s past experience includes nursing at the bedside for the last 21 years and working in nursing education for the last 10 years.  Her work experience includes both a faculty position and various patient care positions. Prior to coming to Baylor, Dr. Fondren was a faculty member at Northeast Mississippi Community College, in Booneville, MS., for ten years.  Her educational instruction with students is informed by her experiences as a registered nurse in critical care, med-surg, organ and bone marrow transplant, hospice, and oncology. 

Committees
Dr. Fondren has served on many committees and work groups throughout the years.  The projects and committee work have focused on areas that include curriculum, student retention, educational resources, missions, admissions, and professional development.

Community
Emily Fondren is involved in her local community.  She loves watching her children’s school and sporting events.  She serves as the social media lead for Corinth, MS Cross Country Team.  She is an active member of First Baptist Church in Corinth, MS where she serves by teaching bible drill and women’s bible studies.  She engages in community events and enjoys mission opportunities to serve others.
