On May 24, you will receive an email with information about scheduling your advising appointment. Appointments will become available on May 31. In the meantime, we encourage you to familiarize yourself with the course catalogue and degree plan so that you can bring any questions you may have to your advising appointment. When scheduling your advising appointment, please make sure that it does not overlap with your in-person Orientation and Baylor Line Camp experience.

We are so thrilled to welcome you to Baylor University as you begin your studies as a Pre-Nursing major.  Below are helpful hints to guide you through Orientation and into your first semester.

  1. Plan to attend the Louise Herrington School of Nursing’s Academic Session during your orientation.  These sessions will guide you through the Pre-Nursing major and provide you with more information about the LHSON.  Watch your orientation schedule for the exact time and location.

  2. Sign up for your advising appointment with your assigned advisor in University Advisement.  Watch your Baylor email for these invitations.  During this appointment, you will work with your advisor to schedule your courses for the upcoming semester. You can use the 2021-2022 BSN MAP to help with course planning.
  3. If you have already earned college credit through Dual Credit courses, AP, IB, or any other method – make sure that your scores or college transcript(s) have been sent to Baylor.  The earlier you can do so, the more helpful it is for your academic advising appointment!

If you have any questions, please contact, Kyle Pyron, MA, MDiv, Coordinator of Pre-Nursing Student Services at (254) 710-2226.
