Dear LHSON Students, Faculty and Staff,
I wanted to provide a follow-up regarding the new Baylor University COVID testing policy and related communications. As I shared last week, LHSON will be handling the COVID testing differently than the BU Waco campus. We will be working with a lab here in Dallas and our testing will be done here on our campus. No kits will be mailed to you.
As a reminder, COVID-19 tests need to be completed within a 7 day window leading up to your arrival on campus. A negative COVID-19 test is required for a return to a Baylor on-campus building. This is a HIGH priority for you to come to campus to be tested even if it is inconvenient. With rare exception email Monica Mullins to request to test at an alternative time.
Here is an overview of what you need to know:
Testing Dates / Start times
Before Friday, you will receive a form you MUST complete, print and have with you when you arrive to test. If it is impossible for you to print, and for rare exceptions, you can email your completed form to Monica_Mullins@baylor.edu to print. Also prior to Friday, we will provide instructions about sign-up for your testing time, arrival, parking, masks and social distancing guidelines. Thank you for your patience as we finalize all the details.
Your health is our highest priority. The LHSON also echoes the message from BU-Waco regarding cleaning measures stating, “Our University partner Aramark Facilities Services has developed an in-depth plan that focuses on many key areas of best practices and technological innovations while following or exceeding the most up-to-date recommendations by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and state and local health authorities.” Additionally, we fully support Baylor’s face covering policy which is a vital part of our many COVID-19 mitigation efforts. We look forward to seeing everyone again soon.
