The health and safety of our Baylor family and all of our nation continues to be our highest priority. In response to the recommendations of our nation’s leaders and health officials, Baylor University has made the difficult decision to postpone the Louise Herrington School of Nursing’s Going for the Gold Gala on Saturday, April 25. We have been in contact with Governor Greg Abbott, this year’s keynote speaker for the Gala, and we are grateful for his willingness to work with us to reschedule this important event. The LHSON’s 2020 Alumni Reunion event on Friday, April 24, has also been postponed.
While we are saddened that this time of fellowship must be postponed, we are grateful for your faithful support of Baylor University and our Baylor nurses, and we hope you will continue to keep them in your prayers as they serve in critical roles within the Dallas community in response to this health crisis. As we continue to respond to the challenges of this global pandemic, we give thanks for members of our Baylor community, like you, who are serving your communities, leading where you are and supporting as you can.Thank you for your continued prayers and support of Baylor and our students. We will keep you informed as information becomes available regarding the postponement and rescheduling of this important event.
